For quite some time now my good friend (and fellow-photographer) Frances Foster had been itching to set up a photo shoot for the both of us, in her home country of France.
What started out as just a simple idea, quickly became an extraordinarily styled shoot … in the most beautiful chateau I could possibly imagine! Not only that, Frances happened upon a first-rate designer, along with two lovely models.
On the day of the shoot, we did a quick recce of Château de Bonneval, picking out some of our favourite spots, both inside and out. Marta de Bonneval, our lady of the chateau and tour guide, couldn’t have been more hospitable if she tried, and we’re so grateful for the time she gave us.
Sian from Vendetta Couture is one for you to look up immediately! Her medieval-esque outfits really helped bring the shoot to life, and all her hand-made outfits were perfect for each setting. Game of Thrones and cosplay fans will adore Sian’s work, that’s for sure!
Our two models, Melissa and Maxine, both had never modelled before … but I’d like to think they will model again after this shoot. Thanks girls, we’re so pleased you helped out!
Thanks a million Frances (and family) for being such great hosts during my stay at your stunning French home! Do check out Frances’ own photos of the shoot via her Facebook page. It’s been really nice to see two sets of images from the same shoot.
