A very warm welcome from myself, Richard Wakefield.

I’m based in Oxford, UK, and I specialise in Photography and Cinematography.  Being behind a camera is my passion and capturing moments is what I feel I do best.

I consider myself to be a visual artist, who shoots and edits in a creative and meticulous manner.

My background is purely a creative one and for many years I have built myself up to being a (proud) multi-award cinematographer; creative director for FX Media, FX Films and WedFilm Academy.  Through online training, as well as workshops and 1:1, I have trained thousands of like-minded people around the globe, and have been asked to speak at numerous workshops for Canon, IOV, OFVM and SWPP.

During shoots, people say I’m professional, approachable and friendly.  For behind-the-scenes and events, I pride myself on being able to blend seemlessly into the background as I capture the story that unfolds before my eyes.  And for photo shoots and films, I always put in maximum effort when giving direction and creative input.

Photography and cinematography have always been an ever-evolving art form to me.  From start to finish, I treat each photo and film with the love they deserve, without sacrifices, and I only hope my portfolio reflects this dedication and hard work.
