I thought it’d be good to show snippets from memorable shoots in the recent months. It’s been a varied and creative period of time, which has included film and photo shoots, retouching projects and training days. Of course there are some private clients and jobs I simply can’t mention, but here are the few I’m delighted to say I can!
Walter’s Wardrobe – Still I Rise
I decided to revisit my collection of photos from the ‘Still I Rise’ shoot (see previous blog entry here). It’s been a joy to see them again, and to colour grade them in quite different ways.
Models: Ceci Zhang, Stefanie Nieuwenhuyse, Liv Free … MUAs: Sarah Gray, Livvy Tao … Designer: Joanne Fleming Design … Headpieces: HF Couture Bridal & Millinery Designer Accessories … Production: Walter’s Wardrobe Events
The Great Charade
Wow – just you wait ’til you see this new movie by Rodeax (release date TBC)! It’s thrilling; it’s crazy; it’s bloody. I was lucky enough to shoot the behind-the-scenes still throughout half of the filming. For full details (inc. synopsis, cast/crew credits), check out the IMDB page and the IndieGoGo Great Charade page.
Sir Michael Palin, Oxford
What an honour to meet and photograph National Treasure, Sir Michael Palin. He was invited by Brasenose College to do a very special talk at Oxford’s Examination School, and what a treat it was to hear about his numerous travel and comedy adventures.
1:1 Training
I’ve been training quite a bit recently, and in quite a few niche areas (filming, editing, retouching, animation, photography and lighting). How exciting it was to travel down to Bournemouth and pass on some lighting knowledge to RR Photographic. These are the images I took, but do check out Ruth’s own images here – she has quite a skill!
Pyro Pixies
It’s always such a thrill to shoot Gemma Louise Williams and co (aka ‘Pyro Pixies‘). This time around the challenge was to avoid getting my eyebrows singed, as the fire setups became more extravagant and epic!
Cooking on a Budget
Another outing with the Kode boys; this time they filmed some rather scrumptious ‘budget’ meals being prepared, while I photographed behind-the-scenes.
Seacourt Printing
It was a pleasure to revisit the Seacourt HQ (a planet-positive printing business); this time to take product photos (the results on their website can be seen in the final photo).
GEFCO – Children in Need
What an eventful couple of days as I hopped over to Paris with J Productions. John and I were out there filming the brave people of GEFCO, who cycled from Coventry to Paris to help raise money for BBC’s Children in Need. As well as that we also spent a day at the UK GEFCO workplaces, capturing some of what GEFCO does best.
